Mycroft Holmes doesn't like being called Mike. Or Mickey.

When he was a child, his parents would refer to him like this very often. "Mike, your room is a mess", "Mike, share your toys with your brother", "Mickey, you ate the last piece of cake again!"

But when he brought home the first good grade from school, he could hear that pride in their voices, as they said "Our son, Mycroft Holmes."

"You're the champion of the school tournament of history knowledge. Our smart boy, Mycroft", "You graduated on top of the class, Mycroft", "Thank you for bringing him home, Mycroft".

Even for his little brother, he'd rather be the strong and collected Mycroft, than soft and helpless Mickey.

Mycroft Holmes doesn't like being called Mike. Or Mickey.

Just fucking end me, put me down. I can’t stop thinking about the zero hesitation in Sherlock’s voice when he stands up for Mycroft against their mother at the end of TFP. Sherlock and Mycroft are pretty much always arguing, or on different sides. And then he goes and stands up for him with NO hesitation and it fucks me up gooooood

What, me? I’m fine. Just thinking about how much the Holmes brothers support each other despite having such vastly different lifestyles.

Sherlock doesn’t belittle Mycroft’s reclusive, idle, and perfectly scheduled daily life, despite he himself being (generally) very active and social. He even brags about his brother to his friend.

Mycroft doesn’t discourage Sherlock from pursuing his strange, unstable career, even financially supporting him, despite he himself having a very high up government job.

It's really so sad that even deep inside, pretty much on the brink of death, Sherlock doesn't realise how much Mycroft would cry.

Can you guys fucking imagine tho? If Sherlock really died? His brother would probably blame himself for it, no matter the cause of Sherlock's death. Like I'm so glad they actually planned Reichenbach together cuz man wouldn't have survived those 3 years before Sherlock came back.

Mycroft was literally ready to die for him! He was concerned for him from day 1 and it's just really sad that Sherlock couldn't see it.

Watson's only called Holmes, "Sherlock", or written his name as Sherlock only when Mycroft was around LoL

They live together for so long, went on very platonic dates with one another, and Watson and Holmes still call each other by their surnames (aff)

I just wanted to draw brother Mycroft more, because ACD Sherlock and ACD Mycroft really cared for each other and were very brotherly to each other, plus he's canonically smarter than Holmes lol
